Man-ista: Vik Sahay, Lester on NBC’s “Chuck,” starred opposite Seann William Scott in American Reunion
We love a guy who can make us laugh, so it’s hard to find fault with the hilarious Vik Sahay. And the only thing stronger than his wit is his fashion sense. We caught up with the star of the upcoming comedy My Awkward Sexual Adventure to see which styles are making him grin this fall.
Recessionista: It’s all about mixing and matching the highs and lows this season — but here at Recessionista we’ve been saying this for years! What’s your one essential wardrobe item for this trend?
Vik: I’d say a variety of great blazers is the key. You can dress them down with jeans, sneakers and t-shirts, or up, with dress shirts. I like to mix in some vintage items and actually wear some of my dad’s shirts from the 70′s (editor’s note: parental chic = brilliant). Add on dress shoes and your look is complete. You can get cool blazers for reasonable prices at H&M and Zara.
R: Love it! And is there one item you should definitely splurge on?
V: Suits. With a tailored suit, I think you do really need to spend the money to look nice.
R: We’ve spotted a lot of celebs vintage shopping lately. In a word: cheap, or chic?
V: Chic! I’ve scored very high-end ties for $20 in vintage stores, as well as some retro ski jackets for more casual wear. If you like to wear athletic clothes like I do, a hat or a scarf give them a pop so you don’t look like you’ve been lying around watching MMA all day (even if you have been…).
