Man-ista: Sam Champion, weather anchor of ABC’s Good Morning America

We caught up with Sam at the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund’s (OCRF) 15th annual Super Saturday benefit last weekend. The place was hopping with celebs and designers, so we just had to pick his brain about guy fashion 101…

 

 

 

Recessionista: Which designers are you the most excited about seeing today?

Sam: Probably J.Brand – because I don’t know much about them and I hear that they make incredible pants and incredible jeans. I don’t like to shop, so when I come to an event like this where everybody is lined up I want to see the people that I don’t know, that I’ve heard good things about.

R: Since you don’t like to shop…how do you go about, um, shopping?

S: I’m more of an online shopper. Isn’t that weird? I go online, buy what I want, and then have it sent to the apartment. I don’t like to go into a store. I think most guys are like that. I know the things that I like and the sizes that I have in those things, so I’d rather just go online and have them sent to me.

R: And as you click away, are you looking for deals and saving money?

S: Oh my god, I love deals! Not coupons as much as sales. If it says “Sale” on the right hand side of the website, I am over there. My first website that I’ll check on Saturday morning, when I have down time and a cup of coffee, is Gilt Groupe. They have their price, it’s great!
