I’ll never forget the first time I got fired. I was 14 years old and I was working in the neighborhood Chinese take-out restaurant. I rang in a soda as $45 dollars instead of 45 cents and after the third time I did it I got fired. If it was today, I would not have gotten fired — because we would have a UPC code for all of the products!

Zarin is now the owner of Zarin fabrics, as well as an author and star of Bravo’s hit show, “The Real Housewives of New York City.” She learned from her early experience of getting sacked and is now adding “Fashion designer” to her resume, teaming up with Triad Hosiery to create Skweez Couture, a line of sexy and innovative shapewear.

I was trying to brainstorm and think of a name for my line. I was trying on a dress and all of a sudden it dawned on me. I said, “Skweez your ass into that dress”. A light bulb went off in my head. I wanted to be SKWEEZED!”
