I have always had very good luck with Christmas shopping, after the fact. I was once able to find two pairs of Christian Louboutin heels on sale for a combined cost of less than one pair of full price Louboutins (at the Saks Fifth Ave in Raleigh, NC).

So if you didn’t get that perfect present under your tree this year, head out to the stores to find it. Who cares if it’s a few days late? Getting something on sale always makes up for tardiness.

I always find the best deals at big department stores like Saks, Barney’s and Neiman Marcus as they want to get rid of their winter inventory to make way for their spring collections.
Take receipts with you for presents you bought yourself and others from the month of December. Most stores will give a refund if your merchandise has been marked down, up to 30 days after it’s been purchased. Remember: it doesn’t hurt to smile and ask! Happy shopping!
